Advent-ure calendar opens a window to CMN’s daily miracles

Each day, Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis is hard at work making a difference in the lives of sick and injured children. This holiday season is no different, but this year, people have a chance to peek inside as the miracles unfold.

In a new feature titled, “Miracles in the Making: Erin’s Advent-ure Calendar,” communications specialist Erin Baily chronicles her adventures as the newest member of the Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis team. Outlined daily, the posts are similar to an Advent Calendar, a holiday tradition popular among many cultures. As you count down, a window is opened, often revealing a surprise.

This blog gives us the opportunity to let people see CMN through fresh eyes,” said Jacquelyn Mills, director of Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis. “All year long we have amazing miracles to share, but rarely do people get the experience them firsthand, for the first time. I thought this would be a great opportunity to capture those moments.”

The first week of Miracles in the Making: Erin’s Advent-ure Calendar will be posted beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 12, followed by the second installation on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
