Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis will kick off its radiothon with Lazer Broadcasting Group from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 25-27 to raise funds for UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Stations will broadcast a mix of patient stories, facts and interviews into regular programming to raise awareness of and funds for UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
Spanish radio stations 97.9 Latino KLMG, 1060 Reno and 94.3 Radio Lazer KGRB will also broadcast live from the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento on Thursday, Oct. 26.
“The funds raised in our area stay local to benefit the children and families who receive care at UC Davis Children’s Hospital,” said Michelle Thompson, associate director for Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis. “By supporting the radiothon with your donation, you can improve the life of a sick or injured child.”
Last year, Lazer Broadcasting Group raised $134,473 during its radiothon in support of UC Davis Children’s Hospital. Funds benefit patient care, programs, life-saving equipment and cutting-edge research at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
The radiothon is a cooperative effort among Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Lazer Broadcasting Group radio stations.
