CMN donors help pediatric patients at UC Davis Children’s Hospital better cope with pain

Going to the hospital makes many adults fearful. For kids, this anxiety is often even more pronounced, especially when they have to go through painful treatment.

Take needles, for example. Children are especially afraid because they’re not used to the sensation of their skin being pricked by something sharp. In fact, there’s a real phobia – Trypanophobia – associated with medical procedures involving injections or hypodermic needles.

For this scary situation and many others like it, there’s a new program at UC Davis Children’s Hospital to help kiddos better cope with the painful medical procedures they must undergo while hospitalized. Read about the Comfort Commitment funded by CMN at UC Davis donors.
