Our why: Fern, Kit, Jane and Royal

The Delgado family of Tuolumne hoped to have more kids, but mom, Kayleen, had a low egg count. Doctors told she and husband, Zeke, that they would never get pregnant naturally. The couple was undeterred.

Not only did Kayleen get pregnant again, she had naturally conceived quadruplets … a one in a million occurrence! The identical three girls and one fraternal boy – Fern, Jane, Kit and Royal – were born at UC Davis Children’s Hospital on November 14, 2024. Now almost 6 months old, they are home and doing great!

The Delgado family, including two older daughters – Hadassah and Eden – are settling into their new routine which includes an average of 180 diapers per week! They are thrilled about the new additions and are grateful to the team at UC Davis Children’s Hospital for the amazing care they received.
