Walmart superhero campaign to benefit UC Davis Children’s Hospital begins end of August

Help Walmart help sick and injured children by making a donation at your local Walmart Aug. 27-Sept. 30 during the store’s annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals miracle balloon campaign. Donations stay local to support children in UC Davis Children’s Hospital’s 33-county service area.

Walmart believes every child deserves the chance to live better. The company has supported CMN for three decades, raising more than $930 million in the U.S. and Canada. Stores across Central California will team up to gather donations for research, education, clinical care, life-saving equipment and even toys to improve and save the lives of sick and injured children.

Central Valley store managers and associates wasted no time getting a jump start on the 2018 campaign, embracing the superhero theme and dressing up for the CMN at UC Davis kickoff meeting. In keeping with the theme, Walmart employees spent the morning “super”-sizing their fundraising goals to break previous records and even brought boxes of superhero toys for the kids at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
