Davis Dance Marathon Raised More Than $3,500 for the UC Davis Children’s Hospital!

70 students at UC Davis stood For The Kids treated at UC Davis CHildren’s Hospital; raising more than $3,500. These funds will go to help support the hospital’s greatest needs.

During the event, students learned choreographed dance routines, played board games, enjoyed performances by university-related dance and music groups, and listened to guest speakers who represented the Children’s Miracle Network and the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, including Miss Sacramento County, Miss Sacramento County Teen and Miss Sacramento County Outstanding Teen.

Part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon Program since 2013, Davis Dance Marathon has helped sick and injured kids like Chanell Roberts receive the best care available. In 2014, Chanell – age 12 at the time – suffered a stroke after being hit in the head with a football. For a while, it was hard for her to walk. Thanks to the work and dedication of the staff at the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, she made a full recovery. She told her story to the dancers at the Davis Dance Marathon and even performed a solo dance routine for everyone to enjoy!.
