First Tech gives back this season with holiday donation to UC Davis Children’s Hospital

Helping to build a better future for children and families in need, First Tech Federal Credit Union partnered with Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis again this year during the company’s “Season of Giving.” This annual campaign gives First Tech employees, members and the broader community a chance to vote on which featured non-profit organizations First Tech should support through donations.

As part of the Season of Giving campaign, each First Tech branch participated, raising $6,500 for UC Davis Children’s Hospital, the region’s Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

“We’d like to thank CMN at UC Davis for its partnership and efforts during the Season of Giving campaign and beyond, “ says Rachel Miller, First Tech community engagement specialist. “We’re proud to support organizations like yours that strive to make impactful, positive change for those who need it most. Together, we’re building stronger and brighter futures for our communities.”

The company raised more than $1.1 million in 2016 for six Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including UC Davis Children’s Hospital. In addition to the $6,500 donation from the Season of Giving campaign, First Tech is planning to make another donation to UC Davis before year’s end.

“For years, First Tech has been an important CMN partner,” says Jacquelyn Mills, director of Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis. “As one of the first credit unions to serve the technology industry, First Tech specializes in serving the needs of the most forward-thinking companies and our communities, uniting humanity and innovation for good. I am excited about our future and the great work we can do as a result of First Tech’s generosity.”
