Miracle Monday – Our why: Alfredo

Born at 27 weeks, little Alfredo faced incredible odds. He was diagnosed with necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), a condition that causes inflammation and tissue death in the intestines and can often be fatal.

But Alfredo hung on, fighting his way through 15 surgeries and smiling all the while. Thanks to the team at UC Davis Children’s, he is now in school, is a big brother and has a grin that warms the heart! Here’s to you, Alfredo.
