Our why: Annabelle

Annabelle has had several open heart surgeries at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. She has a rare defect, referred to as aortopulmonary window, which accounts for less than 1% of all congenital heart defects. Annabelle was also diagnosed with supravalvular aortic stenosis (SVAS). The incidence of SVAS is estimated at approximately 1 in 25,000 births.

But despite the odds of not one but two heart defects, as well as other complications, Annabelle is stronger than ever, giving back to other kiddos who have been affected by heart-related illness.
